Hi there, Iā€™m Lilly!

Lilly Larson, LCSW | Founder and Therapist

I'm glad you're here! I am a Texas-based therapist and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California, Texas, and Utah. I specialize in anxiety, complex trauma, life-transitions (parenting, college-bound, military-to-civilian, etc), and relationships (with yourself, romantic partner, family, etc). I utilize evidence-based therapy modalities with every client - but my approach and which modalities I use are based on your needs and goals for therapy.

My approach

The evidenced-based modalities I utilized are tailored to what's bringing you to therapy and what you're hoping to get out of it. Some of the common therapy models I use are trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy especially with couples and families (EFT). I believe that therapy should be a stigma-free, safe space where you're able to learn new tools and strategies to use outside of sessions, too!

My focus

I work with clients of all ages and backgrounds but most often my clients are Millennials (or Gen-Z) who already believe in the benefits of therapy, even if they're nervous to start therapy themselves. My clients are often feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or burnt out - or life is really life-ing and they are looking for some professional support to navigate through. I also work with clients who want to improve their relationship with themselves, their partner, and/or their family.

My communication style

My communication style clear, kind, and jargon-free but professional. Therapy is a safe, stigma-free space. I believe that while tears are pretty common in therapy, laughing shouldn't be uncommon either. Therapy might leave you with a vulnerability hang-over sometimes, but it should also feel like a breath of fresh air, and a weight lifting off your shoulders, too!

Being a therapist

Working with my clients and being their therapist is one of the greatest honors and privileges of my life! I believe it's sacred work - and that there's an art and science to doing it well - part of why I absolutely love what I do!
